Movie Review: The Bourne Ultimatum
A new operation is now in the CIA codenamed, Blackbriar. Blackbriar is the upgraded version of the operation Jason Bourne was once a part of called Treadstone. With this Blackbriar, comes a whole new arsenal of CIA agents and super agents after Bourne, which leads to some awesome fight scenes.
Jason Bourne is again unleashed upon the world to figure his past out, where he began and who he was before Project Treadstone. He meets up with new characters such as CIA Deputy Director Noah Vosen (David Strathairn) and characters from the past Bourne movies, one of them being Nicky Parsons (Julie Stiles).
Along the way to discovering himself, Bourne fights it out with new super agents providing cool fight scenes and the usual car chase that ends up being a huge collision. Noah Vosen believes that Blackbriar is made to kill anyone in the way of "winning" and when the time comes and Blackbriar goes south, wants the blame put on Pamela Landy. Landy, who is played by Joan Allen, is back in this movie trying to once again catch Bourne and ends up becoming on his side and helps him.
The Bourne Ultimatum is just like the past two Bourne flicks, everything is the same and Ultimatum tells us what we pretty much already knew. It is a great action flick but has it's slow parts. All in all a decent movie so prepare for another Bourne in the future.
