Movie Review: Rush Hour 3
Rush Hour 3 begins with the two main characters we all know, James Carter (Tucker) and Inspector Lee (Chan). As of the beginning the two are separated, Lee is now the personal body guard of Ambassador Han and Carter is a normal policeman directing traffic in L.A.
Their paths cross when someone tries to assassinate the ambassador who is beginning a movement that will defeat the Chinese gang call the "Triads." Carter and Lee set out to find who is behind this and why. This leads them to Paris France where the entire movie takes place.
Upon arrival the two go through various acts that try and attempt to be funny but fall short, example, arriving in a foreign land and having the colon checked. Yes that is a funny subject, but seriously, it is over used. When in Paris Lee sets out to find a women who has knowledge of the Triad leaders. This information shows who the super secret Triads' will have as their leaders in the coming future. If anyone is to catch the woman (NoƩmie Lenoir) she is to be killed. Lee and Carter go on an adventure in order to save this woman and ultimately do.
Rush Hour 3 is a very short film. It seems as if they threw together a so-so story and rushed this movie out. It is nothing like the past two and lacks very little hilarity, even the token outtakes during the credits are short. When the movie finished I felt that it was missing something.
Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker still have some funny lines and will bring you some laughter, not as nearly as much as Rush Hour and Rush Hour 2 though. Not a bad movie but way to short and lacking.
