Movie Review: Halloween (2007
Halloween is about how Micheal Myers became the ruthless killer that he is known today as. It starts out with Micheal as a little boy, about ten years, living in a very dysfunctional family. His mom is a stripper that all the boys know, his dad or step dad (William Forsythe) who is a drunk who is out of work with injuries and his sister who appeared to be a normal annoying teenage broad. There was also a little baby that would never stop crying, she would later be a key character in the story.
Right from the beginning the foul language was flying. The F bomb was dropping every other word. There was so much foul language from every character right off the bat I almost turned the movie off. With a family like this you could almost understand why little Mike Myers became a heartless human, killing little pets for fun and not having a care in the world about what he had just done.
Myer's school begins to see that the kid needs help and tries to tell the mother but she would have nothing to do with it. By now it was to late, Micheal started to kill people, his first, the school bully.
Once Micheal had a taste for killing a human he began to do it more. His first night would be Halloween, hence the title. The little ten year old kills the "father figure" then the sister and finally the sisters boyfriend, not touching the little baby girl. Because of these killings Myers was sent to a mental hospital and on locked down every day. Dr. Samuel Loomis (Malcolm McDowell) is the one in charge of trying to help him. After fifteen years of failure to help Myers, Dr. Loomis is off the case.
Seventeen years later on Halloween Micheal Myers, now 27, escapes the hospital and goes on a killing rampage. His goal is to get back to his home town of Haddonfield to find his baby sister, now a teenager. After countless murders Micheal Myers finally reaches his little sister.
Halloween started out to be a cool movie with the upbringing of Micheal Myers and how he became the "anti christ." As the movie drug on I became very bored and uninterested, it was way to drawn out. In the world of Halloween people can get shot four times and stabbed twice and STILL be able to walk around, the F word is used by everyone and their grandmother and every teenage girl goes around topless as well. It is amazing really and completely terrible. The movie over all was bad, not scary, no gore, just the typical boobs and way to drawn out.
