Movie Review: The Bucket List

By PRyck
Two of my favorite actors and two of the best actors of all time, I think, in a movie would undoubtedly make people want to watch that particular movie. This goes for The Bucket List with Morgen Freeman and Jack Nicholson. Both are out standing actors and both are really funny together.

Carter Chambers (Morgen Freeman) is the family man with three children and some young grandchildren. He is also a hard working man who has been a mechanic for 45 years and one day he gets the call. Carter is a smoker and with being a smoker comes the high risk of cancer, this phone call tells him just that. Carter winds up in a hospital having the treatment done and the chemo going as well.

Then there is Edward Cole, played by Jack Nicholson. Edward is the exact opposite of Carter. He has no family, just an assistant and a billion dollar company. Edward ends up being Carter's room mate in the hospital and they strike up a friendship. Both diagnosed with cancer, both doing the same treatment and both with six months to one year to live.

Upon the news, Edward sees that Carter created a "bucket list." This list lines out things to do before you die or "kick the bucket." When seeing this Edward gets the idea that the two new friends should create a list and check each item off once completed. With this list the two travel around the world, parachute and race two muscle cars on a Nascar track. Because Edward has millions upon millions of dollars, these expenses mean nothing, so the two friends go all out and try to complete this list.

The Bucket List is a wholesome movie with some great laughs and some sad parts. (They are dying!) It isn't anything special nor anything great but an over all good movie. The two leads with Freeman and funny man Nicholson, make the movie so much better. A good touching movie fit for all types of audiences.
